The E-business Engine

Since 1999, KiSP’s Ensync has been the e-business engine for Steelcase Inc. and its dealers worldwide. KiSP provides the software, web services, hosting, and management experience to help keep Steelcase dealers at the forefront of the industry and continuously drive the level of the customer relationship upward.

Ensync is a customer’s portal to information contained in Hedberg, Steelcase’s dealer business system, and is designed to enhance the facility management process and to simplify doing business with Steelcase and its dealers.

It provides the dealer’s customer with a web site where content and functionality are customized to meet their needs, featuring:

• Custom product and service catalogs for browsing or service/quote requests
• Current managed inventory data via the dealer’s licensed SnapTracker™ facility
• Order and delivery status
• Sales history and purchasing reports
• Project status information
• Site features and functionality controlled at the user or group level
• Site colors and graphics that can be customized to support the customers image

By integrating into the Hedberg Data System, Ensync allows dealers to provide web access to key information needed to service customers, including:

• SnapTracker inventory data
• CAD drawings
• Project Information
• Quote and Purchase information
• Order and Delivery Status

Because information on the site can be customized, dealers have many opportunities to provide value-added information specific to their customer that can help differentiate them from the competition.

Ensync is built on a Microsoft Web Server front end, SQL database backend, and an Active Directory Server (ADS) for user authentication. It integrates into popular procurement systems such as Ariba, Oracle Exchange and I-Procure, Peoplesoft, SAP, SciQuest, OrgSupply, Higher Markets, Perfect Commerce, or any procurement systems that produce cXML, OCI and xCBL v3.0 transactions.
